Rachel Corrie was a 23-year-old American activist who stood for peace and justice in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Driven by a deep sense of empathy, she traveled to Gaza to support Palestinian families facing home demolitions. In March 2003, while attempting to protect a family’s home in Rafah, she was tragically killed by an Israeli bulldozer. Rachel’s courage and commitment to nonviolent resistance have made her a lasting symbol of solidarity and hope in the struggle for human rights.
