Miriam Rodríguez (1960–2017) was a Mexican human rights activist who relentlessly pursued the cartel members responsible for her daughter’s kidnapping and murder. Using disguises and investigative skills, she helped capture nearly a dozen criminals while exposing deep failures in the justice system. She was assassinated outside her home on Mother’s Day, becoming a symbol of courage and sacrifice in the fight against cartel violence.
