Black Mirror

I find art on more than just Pinterest, I also use We <3 It, Instagram, Tumblr, and a few others that would just be name dropping to niche crowds, but this is all to say that while the majority of the work I've decided to recreate comes from Pinterest, this beauty is one inspired by a Tumblr find. I think it was this piece in particular that was the straw that broke the camels back with my high school administration and had my work barred from showing. Provocative. I wish I had the foresight to comment on it being a mirror held up to themselves, to expose their souless insides for suppressing artistic passion and expression. Or is freedom of speech only for those with whom we agree? Gosh, art always gets political, when I made this piece I was fixed on capturing the despair of my current reality. Somethings age like a fine wine.
